OUR PROGRAM

Here at Weaver Herefords, we strive to produce the type of cattle that will fit any program. As third generation ranchers, raising quality hereford cattle is nothing new to the Weaver family.

Growing up on a commercial cow calf operation, Don developed a strong sense of what is required to produce a quality product for the commercial cattleman. We continue to raise commercial cattle today, allowing us to reap the benefits of Hereford genetics with cross breeding and trait selection.

Our first venture into the registered Hereford world started back in the early 1970s. Since then we have come a long way and we are proud of the progress our registered herd has made.

Our cattle are managed like most commercial herds, low inputs and no special treatment.  Our calves are raised solely on their mother’s milk and native grass - they do not receive any creep feed.

We pay close attention to birth weights and calving ease EPDs.  Our goal is to raise quality, problem free Hereford cattle with powerful growth and performance.
